Pride or Elitism ?

So as a follow up to my last post, I ended up NOT being on the float.

No offense to any of the other girls but out of them all I had put in the most time and effort just to be treated very poorly at the very last second. It really bothers me because I am leaving in 2 days and I have had (still do have) so much to do and still I made so much time to help with the float.

I never received a apology, not even a phone call to see how I was doing.

This past week was supposed to be about acceptance of people no matter who or what they are but instead my experience turned out to be that I was the one discriminated against because I am a women and not gay.

Just a reminder for anybody who is heading to Pride tomorrow, I will be dancing on one of the floats :) As a Green Fairy!

Our float will be hard to miss with almost 3000 balloons covering the float itself! There will be 6 fairies to represent all the colours of the pride flag along with 6 male dancers and a fabulous drag queen dressed in all the ride colours.

Welcome to this crazy world

- As we set out on our adventure this summer I wanted to crate a place were I could be sharing my summer with everybody I love back home -

Chris & I leave in 5 days for British Columbia! As I sit in our place looking around at the utter mess and piles of laundry that all has to be cleaned before we leave I am starting to wonder how we are going to pull it off :/

But we will!
